Day 7: Mt. Rushmore

After such an eventful night and day, it was amazing that we still made it to our fun road trip destination we had planned:

Recreating the monument.

After Mt. Rushmore we headed to nearby Hot Springs, South Dakota to camp for the night. We didn't get to enjoy any of the hot springs in the area, because our travel schedule was tight. But the campground had a lovely little creek running through it, and so while I made dinner the kids played:

And the next morning we were ready for heading out on the next day's travel and adventure!
